Summer is in FULL SWING!

Holy cow! It's been 2 months since I last posted.  I have been busy training for and running a half marathon, camping with my family, and trying to get in a little sewing. Trying being the key word there. I did manage to finish my BOMs, all four of them.  I can't wait to see them all together in four seperate quilts.

Hexies Galore!

So what do you do when you have to spend 14 hours in the car? Work on your English paper piecing, of course. We had a long drive up to my sister-in-law's wedding so it was a good time for me to get out this project and get some more done on it.  I need a total of 18 diamonds for the finished project. I think I'll be working on this one for a while.

Festival of Half Square Triangles

I finally got this one quilted and bound, and just in time, too! Baby Boy hasn't started to crawl quite yet, so he'll have some time to use it as his floor quilt. It even has his seal of approval.  Have to say I love how this quilt turned out. Love the colors, love the quilting, love it all. I couldn't resist posting more than a couple pictures. I noticed after I took the pictures that a butterfly stopped by to check it out. I'm also doing something I've never done and entering it in the Festival of Half Square Triangles contest. We'll see how that goes, but more than anything I'm just happy my little guy finally has his floor quilt.

It's finally all pieced! I planned on having this quilt be my baby boy's floor quilt. Said baby boy is now 8 months old and on the verge of crawling. Still, this quilt will look good on his toddler bed.
